I LOVE H.I.M BUT I HEART KID ROCK!

This is a very big comparison. I'm a big and huge fan of HIM. No doubt! I owned myself 4 HIM's album, plus a concert DVD. Early this year I've been listen to HIM 2010 album, Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice. Even though I'm such a big fan but this album don't bought me at all. I'm still stuck with their previous album, Dark Light (2005) and Venus Doom (2007). The singles from this album, Heartkiller and Scared to Death was empty. A single must be catchy, so fans or maybe not a fan will remember the song as well. No wonder this album didn't get more than 3 out of 5 stars. Don't worry, I'm still your big fan!

Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice

So late of this year I've been listen to Kid Rock latest album, Born Free. As you know Kid Rock music kind of different back in few years a go and this time his songs and music became very pretty awesome. This album is Kid Rock's first to feature no Parental Advisory sticker. Can't you imagine, 10 albums and this is the first one without parental advisory sticker. Must be something behind all of that. So I took a chance to listen to the whole album and all I can say that this album deserve a million stars from me! Not 4 or 5 stars but millions. Such an amazing album. The songs was so good, creative, delicate and been mixing with the smooth, pleasant, nice music and rhythm. If before this Kid Rock preferred rap metal and southern rock in his album but now he sounds more to rock n' roll, country rock, blues rock and southern rock. A very good choice to grew a music much more better. I'm just an ordinary fans of Kid Rock, not like how I adored HIM. But if your album is a kick ass album, I will listen to it over and over again, strum my guitar and sing along. Brilliant!

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1

"NOWHERE IS SAFE"

Recently I went to cinema to watch Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1. Before this I do read the book and imagine it without boundaries but now it became real and adding more fun after reading. This is the part 1 of the ending of Harry Potter sequel and now Harry is going to battle with Lord Voldermort. I guess this Harry Potter series is the scariest one ( I think Chamber of Secret also scared me to death). I'm so afraid of Voldermort's "pet", a snake ( Nagini ) and when Harry open Horcruxes locket. This film play a lot of emotions. Sometimes can be sad, happy and thrill. All I can say that this film is one of the good film to watch this year. The work on from book to film is so smooth and flawless. It gave more satisfaction after reading and the story arrangement from one scene to another is very perfect. Even though its not totally adapted 100% from the book but it still worth it. Another marvelous Harry Potter's series!

"LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED"

I don't know when is the first time I saw this film but I do remember the retarded Sean Penn. Recently I saw this film on HBO and all I think is how beautiful this film are. Even though Sam ( Sean Penn ) having a developmental disability but he do know how to take care his little daughter, Lucy ( Dakota Fanning ). You can notice in this film, not all retard people don't have a brain. They do have it but don't know how to develop it yet. We are lucky because know how to use our brain perfectly but they don't. Its like they brain stuck and stop for growing at the age of seven. Sam is very slow but very loving person. He very nice almost to all people around him. Among friends and neighbors, Sam is like a ordinary person, easy to get along with him and he is a very responsible person. He bought a shoe for his daughter, organize a surprise birthday party, brought his daughter to the dining and always want to be around his daughter. Even though he not a normal person but he still know what exactly a role as a father have to do to his daughter. When Lucy get adopted, he took a chance to move nearby, so he can be around and close to Lucy. That is the father spirit I want to see!

TAKING CHANCE

"When one falls, another brings him home".

Taking Chance is one of the incredible film from HBO. I felt very touched and sad when I saw this film. One word to describe this film, RESPECTFUL. I saw this film for several of times and still got the same feeling when I saw it for the first time. This film is about Lt. Col Mike Strobl (Kevin Bacon) escorting the body of a Marine, Chance Phelps back to his hometown after deceased from the Iraq War. From the starting to the ending of this film, you can see how firstly their tell Chance's parents, clean-up the body and Chance's personal stuff ( his watch, dog-tag and necklace etc ) and also the journey of Mike Strobl with the body back to the hometown starting with the airplane and changing to another airplane and ended up by drove a car. Every peoples that Mike met will show a respect to Chance. A strangers at the airport, stewardess, pilot, plane passengers, airport workers even the unknown people who drives passes Mike's car will show a respect to Chance. This film is totally not a film for people to judge about the war, the army, the leader or the cause of the war but to share some feelings that been through. I'm not a soldier, I live in a very peaceful country and I'm not a same religion as Chance but this film enough to brought all of the peoples in the world, whether you are Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddha or Hindu, this film totally tell a story about the meaning of the respect and to be respect. Mike totally didn't know Chance at all but he willing to escort the body back to his hometown. This enough to show that if someone died at your neighborhood either you know or not know them but if you take a part just to help even to give a penny to the family it will be meaningful to the family. Respect and helpful is a very big word and its enough shown in this film. And one last thing, Kevin Bacon did a very good job in this film and he feels the character very well. This is the film that people in the whole world want to watch. Its a true story, past story that not coming back but the director made this film "live". GOOD JOB!

HOW TO MAKE IT?

This series actually premiered on HBO on February 14th 2010 but I only got a chance to watch it on October 2010 on HBO Asia. How pathetic. First reason why I watch this series : Bryan Greenberg. Second : It will be the plot. Lately I'd addicted to Bryan Greenberg just because I saw him on Bride Wars and Nobel Son, not to forget his first appearance in the Perfect Score ( he so fucking handsome and adorable). Enough with Greenberg and lets talk about this series. If you into fashion, textile and art, this is the series you should see. The combination between Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk as main stars are so good and even great. They do have chemistry together. Its all started when two young men struggle to achieve their dreams in New York City. They want to make a new design, brand jeans named Crisp but its not that easy. Lot of things coming through while both of them trying to be what they want to be ( a successful designer, jeans maker etc..bla bla bla....) . I still remember in one of the episode when one Japanese buyer, Haraki loves the t-shirt that Greenberg wear ( the tee that he designed it back in high school ). So Haraki ordered 300 pieces of that shirt for Japan. They so happy because they will get a lot of moneys from that ordered but they need to find 300 pieces of 50% cotton, 50% polyester t-shirt!? Sounds funny isn't it. This series is more like a comedy-drama series and trust me if you are a young rebel artistic person, you gonna love this show. I love the shot of this series, the pictures and the positive lifestyle. Another "good-job" for HBO.
